Resumen 
Tras una breve referencia al estado del conocimiento
sobre la relación entre música y plástica en los siglos XX
y XXI, este artículo propone una tipología que puede
servir como herramienta conceptual para caracterizar
aquellas producciones o prácticas artísticas que
articulan lo visual y lo sonoro en el proceso creativo o
en la concretización de la obra. Se definen dos
fenómenos básicos -migración o convergencia- y se
desglosa el primero a fin de distinguir varios niveles de
intercambio. Luego, mediante el análisis y la
consideración del proceso creativo y las operaciones
que tienen lugar en la subjetividad de quien trabaja con
ambas artes se examinan distintos casos de estudio
provenientes del campo artístico argentino en los que
se pone a prueba dicha tipología.

Abstract 
After a brief literature review concerning the relations
between music and the visual arts on the last and
present centuries, this article proposes a typology that
could be useful as a conceptual tool in order to
characterize those artistic productions or practices that
articulate visual and sound dimensions in the creative
process or the final outcome. Thus, two basic
phenomena are defined, migration or convergence, and
the former is disarticulated with the aim of
differentiating various levels of interchange. Finally, by
analyzing and considering both the creative process
and the operations taking place in the subjectivity of
the person who works with both arts, various case
studies selected from Argentinean artists are examined,
testing on them said typology.
