Noriko Manabe is a Ph.D. student at CUNY Graduate Center, with a double concentration in ethnomusicology and music theory and interests in Latin music, popular music, and music and language. Her publications include an article on Japanese rap in Ethnomusicology and forthcoming articles on ringtones and Don Giovanni.
