Judith R. Cohen
Judith R. Cohen received her doctorate at the Université de Montréal, and lectures at York University, Toronto. She is the General Editor of the Spanish Recordings of the Alan Lomax Collection. Her research focuses on Sephardic music, music of the hidden Jews of rural Portugal, and construction of musical identities in festivals of the “Three Cultures.” As a performer, she also works with Balkan, Yiddish, French Canadian and medieval music.
